SPD CLEAT

Compatible with Revolution bikes. Recognizable by two screws at the center of the cleat and raised components on the front and back where the cleat “clicks” into your bike petal. Both TIEM and Garneau shoe brands carried by Rev come with SPD cleats.

SPD PEDAL

DELTA CLEAT

Compatible with Revolution bikes. Recognizable by their triangular shape. These are the most common cleats for Peloton bikes – if you have a Peloton, you probably already have shoes with these cleats at home. The Garneau shoes carried by Rev may be fitted with Delta cleats with a converter.

CLIPPING IN – TIPS & TRICKS

Revolution bikes feature a pedal that can accommodate both SPD and DELTA cleats. Clipping in for the first few times can feel stressful at first. But don’t worry – we got you! Keep practicing with our tips and team, and before you know it you’ll be a pro.

SPD Clipping IN:

  1. Ensure you have the right pedals, shoes and cleats to clip in.
  2. Rotate the pedals so the pedal you’re clipping is at it’s lowest position in full rotation with the SPD clip facng up.
  3. Turn the pedal with the front of your shoe so it’s parallel with the ground.
  4. Toe in with the front of your clip.
  5. Apply pressure to pop the back of the clip in – it may help to stand to get enough power to push into it.

SPD CLIPPING OUT:

  1. Rotate the pedals so the pedal you’re clipping out of is at its lowest position in full rotation.
  2. Push down and twist outward with your heel.
  3. Finish by pulling your foot up and away from the pedal to completely detach the cleat.

DELTA Clipping IN:

  1. Ensure you have the right pedals, shoes and cleats to clip in.
  2. Stand on the floor with a foot on either side of the bike.
  3. Bring the pedal on your dominant side to the 6 o’clock position.
  4. With the DELTA pedal facing up, point your toes down and push down and through the heel until you feel a click.
  5. Wiggle your shoe from side to side to ensure you’re securely attached to the pedal.

DELTA Clipping OUT:

  1. Kick your heel outwards with a moderate force.
  2. Expect to feel some resistance, and release your foot from the pedal to completey detach the cleat.
