Cycle shoes? They’re a total game-changer.
1. You’ll get a more efficient pedal stroke transferring more power to the bike, engaging more muscle groups than just your quads – like hammies, calves, glutes and core.
2. Stability and safety. Properly fitted cycle shoes help prevent injury and keep your feet, ankles and body in a more properly aligned position. Even if you’re just riding 2x per week, that’s potentially up to 30 or 40 miles … it adds up!
3. Decreased wear and tear on the bike. (This one benefits us too!) By wearing cycle shoes that essentially won’t touch the elements outside of the studio, you help contribute to increasing the longevity of our pedals and bikes by decreasing their use by wet, dirty street shoes, thus ensuring your “favorite bike” is around for the long haul.
