Monday Motivator (s): Meet Jennie & Bridget

Tell us a little bit about yourself/fitness journey:

J: I’m Jennie, 28 year old living in the Town of Tonawanda with my 7 month old lab mix Gus and my parakeet Stan. I work at Rich Products generating nutrition facts panels and ingredient lists for their cheesecakes! I started my fitness journey about a year ago with my two best friends Bridget and Brittany. We personal train twice a week with Mandy and take a variety of rev classes.

B: I am born and raised in North Buffalo and am 29 years old.  I started my fitness journey about a year ago exactly. I train in the morning with my friends Jennie and Brittany in our group personal training sessions with Mandy. When I’m not at Revolution, I work for the City of Buffalo, love to hang out with family and friends and cheer on the Buffalo Bills!

What does #RevLife mean to you?

J: #RevLife has become more than just a phrase to me, it’s a lifestyle. When I started my journey I was expecting to dislike exercising and dread going to work out but it has evolved into the exact opposite. If I don’t get my rev workouts in my whole week gets out of whack!

B: #RevLife has become a huge part of my life. A year ago I was so out of shape and I’m so happy to how far I’ve come in such a short time.

We all get in the zone in different ways. Where does your head go during a workout?

J:I try to focus on the move I am doing and maintain my form, thinking about why I’m there and doing what I’m doing to push myself a little more each time. I have to admit though, if a good song comes on a little dancing sneaks in too.

B: I try to stay focused and tell myself to keep breathing through the movements. I think of my goals for the future and try to push to be the best I can be.

What’s your favorite class at Rev?

J: TRX with Mandy or RevRide with Rachel

B: TRX with Mandy!

What’s your favorite meal/snack to eat after a tough workout?

J: Since I usually catch my workouts in the AM I love experimenting with different flavors of overnight oats.

B: A smoothie from Healthy Scratch always hits the spot.

What’s your favorite place to brunch in Buffalo?

J: Pastry By Camille, best filled croissants ever.

B: Kostas, their omelettes never disappoints.

What’s your Favorite guilty pleasure song?

J: In Those Jeans by Ginuwine (don’t judge!)

B: Runaround Sue – Dion

If you were to win $100 million today what’s the first you do?

J: I would divide it amongst charity organizations for both people and animals. Volunteering is something I’m extremely passionate about, if I could give everything I have I would.

B: I’d like to give back, so probably donate to Carlys Club at Roswell Park!
