Monday Motivator: Meet Kasey

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, and have never left! I went to ECC and UB for college and have degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I worked in the restaurant industry for over ten years, (still do on occasion, heyyy restaurant week!) before starting my career a couple of years ago at a private investigation company. In my down time I enjoy playing sports (mostly softball), snowboarding, hiking, and traveling! My fiancé and I are kind of National Park geeks and try to visit as many parks as we can.

What does #RevLife mean to you?

I have always been an active person, however, I never truly enjoyed going to a gym until my friend introduced me to Rev a couple years ago. Rev really changed everything for me fitness wise, everyone is so welcoming, the community is great, and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every class I’ve taken!

Where does your head go during a workout?

My work can get stressful so coming to a night class and being able shut my mind off and sweat it out to some great music is the best stress reliever.

What’s your favorite class at Rev?

Thursday night TRX was the first class I attended at Rev and it continues to be my favorite class. Mandy is really great and the Thursday night group is the best!

What’s your favorite meal/snack to eat after a tough workout?

I usually have a protein shake or a granola bar after a workout. The juices at The Healthy Scratch are also really good!

If you have friends visiting from out of town how do you show the the perfect Buffalo day?

I love what the Canalside area has become, I love taking people down there to explore. There’s so much to do! And of course, everyone wants to see the Falls. I’m also a huge food person so stops for wings, pizza and Teds are always necessary.

Early bird or night owl?

Night owl 100%. I am a terrible morning person.

What’s your ideal rest day look like?

Depends on the weather. I like to spend my down time outdoors or playing softball. But winter time is great to catch up on all my TV shows!

What’s your Favorite guilty pleasure song?

I hate to admit it, but any Nickelback song.

If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island which 2 luxury items would you want to have?

I’d want to have spices/seasoning for food and a radio.

Cats or Dogs?

Dogs

If you were to win $100 million today what’s the first you do?

Pay off my student loans and travel!
