Monday Motivator: Meet Lee

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Buffalo – the southtowns – and have recently moved to North Buffalo and loving it! I graduated from SUNY Cortland with my Psychology degree and then worked at a local staffing firm for almost three years before deciding to go back to school this fall for my Master’s at Buff State, for Higher Education Administration & Student Affairs. I was a dancer for 15 years! I love spending time with my family & friends and trying all of the new bars & restaurants in Buffalo.
What does #RevLife mean to you?
#RevLife means a place I can look forward to going to everyday and feel amazing when I walk out the door at the end of the class. When I first moved to North Buffalo I knew I needed to find a new workout place that I enjoyed going to. The first time I walked into Rev, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, then with how positive and friendly the staff was, I knew it was a place I would be going to on a daily basis.
We all get in the zone in different ways. Where does your head go during a workout?
When I come to workout at Rev, I know it is that one part of my day I can truly focus on what I want to accomplish and get out of a workout. I love when the instructors say encouraging and motivating things throughout the class. It’s like they know exactly when you need that extra push and it really gets me to work even harder and get in the zone.
What’s your favorite class at Rev?
How do I choose just one?! Every class I have taken at Rev never disappoints. But my faves are RevMvmt and Rev+TotalBody.
What’s your favorite meal/snack to eat after a tough workout?
I loveee to snack at night, so I normally eat whatever I am craving, but when I want to feel good and healthy, I usually go with making a smoothie.
What’s your favorite dinner spot in Buffalo?
I honestly can’t pick just one. Buffalo has had sooo many new restaurants open that I like to try a different place every time.
If you could choose your superpower, what would it be?
I would want to be able to spread kindness and happiness to everyone. It really is amazing how much you can make someone’s day with a smile or compliment.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
I had to ask my bf this who is a major movie buff, and he responded with someone who talks a lot and is outgoing, then followed that up with Sandra Bullock. Definitely not someone I would have chosen for myself but I’ll go with it!
