Monday Motivators: Meet Emily
Weeks like these make Mondays feel glorious. Hello 2 days of work, then one day off! But that doesn’t mean we won’t celebrate another awesome soul from Rev! Meet this week’s Monday Motivator, Emily. She’s got a busy schedule, but gets her workouts in, squeezing out major sweat at the 5:45am RevUpperBod and lunch time RevShred weekly- two of her favorites. Read on to get to know this cool Buffalo-born chick!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Buffalo. After graduating from Villanova, I moved back to start working at M&T Bank. Last summer, I bought a house in North Buffalo so a lot of my spare time has been consumed with painting and watching how to videos on YouTube. I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new restaurants and a good glass of red wine.
What does #RevLife mean to you?
#RevLife is a motivating and inspiring community that pushes you to achieve your goals.
We all get in the zone in different ways. Where does your head go during a workout?
I am either zoned out or giving myself a mental pep talk. Either case, I am always thinking about how great I feel after the work out!
What’s your favorite class at Rev?
It’s hard to choose! I love the Wednesday morning Rev + Upper Body. It’s usually the only 5:45am class I go to and it’s the perfect break up to my week. I also started going to a few RevShred classes and have been feeling the BURN so I am thinking I’ll be hooked in a matter of time.
What’s your favorite meal/snack to eat after a tough workout?
My go-to is usually a smoothie.
What’s your favorite dinner spot in Buffalo?
I am between Mother’s and the Left Bank.
If you could choose your superpower, what would it be?
Something that would prevent me from being late – either super speed or stopping time.
Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
I think I would have to say Jennifer Lawrence. She seems so relatable and fun.
