Monday Motivators: Meet Caitlin

Y’all know and love our super fun-loving instructor Brandon … but have you met his sister Caitlin? She’s this week’s Monday Motivator! A die-hard for his Wednesday night RevRide, this badass chica is a passionate dog mom and just one of seven finishers of the Segahunda 72 ultra trail marathon. And she drives an hour from East Concord just to get to class! Read on to catch more of her awesome vibes. Happy Monday!

What’s your story?

I live in out in the middle of nowhere in a  town called East Concord – which is about an hour from Buffalo. I work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute as a Clinic Liaison. I love what I do, so that makes the hour drive to work everyday worth it.

I am married to a wonderful, crazy, fun, hardworking  guy who continues to bring the best out of me every single day! We met at a Country Jamboree, and got married two years later. We are dog parents to two Giant Alaskan Malamutes, Moose and Karma. I may talk about my dogs more than some people talk about their human kids. And I am okay with that. #crazydogmom

In my spare time I love to dirt bike-crazy hobby I picked up after meeting Adam! I am also an avid trail runner. I started running about a year ago. I love the feeling of pushing myself to my limits and crossing that finish line. I was one of just seven finishers at the Segahunda 72 last year. It is an ultra-trail marathon as well as a 5k, 10k, 15k – totaling just over 44 miles in two days. Only 25 people are allowed to sign up for the whole thing. And I FINISHED!!! Just finishing something that I once thought once impossible … that is an amazing feeling.

My motto in life is to smile big and live each day to the absolute fullest.

What does #RevLife mean to you?

When I think of RevLife, I think of motivation and family. My brother got me into Revolution because he is an instructor!!! If any of you have taken any of his classes, you have witnessed his high energy and bubbly personality!!! Revolution has such a wonderful family atmosphere-everyone, not only the instructors, are super motivating.

We all get in the zone in different ways. Where does your head go during class?

Honestly, every class I take with my brother I wonder how the heck do his  legs spin that fast?! After I get that out of my head, I get into the zone and start pushing myself. I try to catch up to my brother!!! Reminds me of when we were kids racing each other on our bicycles haha.

What’s your favorite class format at Rev (RevRide, IndoRow, etc.) and why?

I love the RevRide. It is a different form of cardio that I need to train for any upcoming race.

What’s your favorite dinner spot in Buffalo?

Hmmmmm any place where where my brother recommends.

If you could choose your superpower, what would it be?

To have super endurance. Sometimes I wish I could do so many things – but there are just not enough hours in the day and I get sleepy.

Who would play you in the movie version of your life?

If there is an actress out there that has a great smile and is super bubbly — that is who would play me!
