Monday Motivators – Meet Ross
It’s finally here! (February that is). The cold temps this Monday make it the perfect time to introduce new-to-Buffalo Ross. When he moved here from Minnesota, he said to himself: “Where can I go where I won’t miss the frigid cold?” But luckily he found some warmth at Rev! Ross and his co-workers do an awesome job of keeping themselves motivated to come to class and making sure no one forgets to sign up (They’re part of that die-hard 8:15pm Indo-Row crew!)
1.Tell us a little bit about yourself.
This past Fall, I turned 25 and moved to Buffalo from Minnesota. I grew up 20 minutes west of Minneapolis and graduated from the University of Minnesota. I work downtown as a Software consultant, and live down by Canalside. I love to ski, fish, and hike; anything outdoors and I’ll be content. I love to eat/cook great food and have a drink or two along with it. I am also very good at binge watching TV shows.
2. How do you stay motivated to come to class, especially on days when you’re just not feeling it?
I always think about the mood that I am in after workouts. Especially for the morning classes, I can’t think of a better way to start the day than exercise! Also, I figure that Rev is a great place to find #her.
What are some little ways you stay active every day?
I’m a big water drinker so throughout the day I am constantly getting up to go fill up my water bottle or empty my tank. Also, I have one of those desks that raise up so I’m always trying to utilize that.
4. What song gets you totally pumped during class?
I am a big fan of any of Lauren’s playlists. Everything that is upbeat!
5. Who are your Rev ride-or-dies? (Workout buddies who keep you accountable.)
Aside from the $10 cancellation charge, everyone who goes to/works at Rev keeps me wanting to come back. Everybody is super friendly and the work ethic in the gym is contagious!
6. What’s something random you always have in your gym bag?
My gym bag is simple. Normally just my workout shoes and a water bottle.
7. Give us two truths and a lie!
I’ve danced the Tango in Buenos Aires
I’ve been skiing in the Swiss Alps
I’ve drank Vodka in Moscow
