Monday Motivators: Meet Paige and Marienne

Today we're all about the stars, stripes and sweat with this mom and daughter Monday Motivator duo! Paige and Marienne have an amazing relationship, and it's pretty awesome to see that play out at the gym, too. From the TRX to the spin bikes, they keep each other laughing and pushing - almost every single morning. Take it from these gals - and grab your bestie and get to class. It's always better sweating together!

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
MM: I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I've been married to my husband, Bob, for 29 years and we work together at our family business, Colgate Industries. I'm so proud of my son, Liam who is a marine and currently deployed in the Pacific. I'm also so excited that my daughter, Paige, is going to UB grad school - 3 more years of working out together! I also have the cutest pug ever, Jack. Life is good!
PM: I'm a Buffalo girl born and raised! I just graduated undergrad at Loyola University Maryland and I'm excited to be back home in Buffalo and starting at UB in the fall to get my masters in communicative disorders and sciences (aka speech pathology). When I'm not in school I love traveling to new places, working out (especially at Rev), spending time with friends and family and snuggling with my pug Jack.
2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
MM: Workout with Paige.
PM: Workout with Mom 
3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
MM: I'm obsessed with Mumford & sons - especially during a challenging hill on the bike!
PM: It's an old song but I can't stop listening to Sunday Candy by Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment because it's just such a catchy, feel good song for summer!

​4. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
MM: I start my day with black coffee and Rev. I've always liked working out in the morning best.
PM: I try to stick to the basics like getting around eight hours of sleep every night and drinking lots of water. My mom always keeps a pitcher of water infused with cucumbers, lemons or fruits which makes it a little bit easier to get to my goal each day.

5. How do you help keep each other motivated to work out?
MM: I just love finding things to do with Paige so Rev is great for us and she always makes me laugh which makes a hard workout so much easier!

PM: My mom signs me up for all my classes at Rev so that gives me no choice but to workout hahah. But for real my mom has one of the strongest work ethics I've ever seen, especially when it comes to her fitness, so I really just try to keep up with her everyday.

6. Favorite workout on the bike - hills, sprints, isolations or tap backs?​
MM: Isolations!
PM: I love a little bit of everything but I have to say isolations are my favorite! 

7. Buffalo food truck you can't live without?
MM & PM: Tuk tea! We can't pick out favorite food truck because there are too many good ones, but Tuk Tea goes with everything and is refreshing and delicious. :)
