1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
I was introduced to Rev by my sister and future sister-in-law almost two years ago and now I can’t get enough!! I’m currently a student at D’Youville College School of Pharmacy but won’t be for much longer as I’m graduating in May with a Doctorate in pharmacy (finally!). I currently work at the VA Medical Center but just found out I matched at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo for a pharmacy residency after graduation! I am a huge dog lover and slightly obsessed with my boyfriend and I’s rescue pitbull Louie. Rev is the perfect escape from my busy schedule and I love sweating with my sisters!

2. Describe your best workout ever in three words.
Shaky TRX planks.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
Stay by Zedd & Alessia Cara.

4. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
I always start my day with a giant glass of water (followed by coffee of course)!

5. Favorite workout on the bike - hills, sprints, isolations or tap backs?
Tap back and push up combo.

6. 6. Buffalo food truck you can't live without?
Lloyd’s for sure. However, I’d rather be at the Lloyd Taco Factory enjoying a Marg along with my taco. ;)

Monday Motivators: Meet Barb

Start your week on the right note, with a little extra Monday Motivation from Barb! This Rev rockstar stays strong for her demanding PT career at Mercy Hospital. When she's not working she is TRXing her butt off, or tappin' it back on the bikes. She recently added Indo-Row to her routine, too. Is there anything this girl can't do?!

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
I grew up in Franklinville (undercover hillbilly). I moved to this area for school and earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 and currently work in critical care at Mercy Hospital. Lots of strenuous lifting, thank God for my TRX workouts! I have 2 little (more like beasty and chunky because I spoil the heck out of them) French Bulldog boys...they're my world. I live in the Elmwood Village and I'm obsessed with this amazing little community and take full advantage of all it has to offer... farmers markets, unique shops, and tasty restaurants. Can't wait 'til warmer weather, this area just comes alive!

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
Sweaty. Intimidating. Variety.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
Hmmm...can't say I have any favorites. You'll find me listening to everything under the sun. Loving Ed Sheeran right now, otherwise I'm not too hip to current artists (damn, I've lost touched since I turned 30). But I can easily switch from him to the Grateful Dead or Tom Petty (hippie at heart) ... thank God for Sirius Radio!

4. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
I start my day with coffee (duh), but super crazy about fruit/herb infused water ... I've found the more I pack my water bottles with awesome flavors, the more I drink throughout the day. Lately I've been ending my day with a cup or 2 of tea...I love the local, loose tea by Serenitea (buying local is always best, Buffalove!). Before bed, I walk my pups and throw together some delicious overnight oats for breakfast the next day.

5. Favorite workout on the bike - hills, sprints, isolations or tap backs?
Isolations. But it's a love/hate relationship. Thanks a bunch, Lauren.

6. Buffalo food truck you can't live without?
Well, since I can't choose just one, I look forward to summers in Larkinville so I don't have to ... all the food trucks in one spot so I can sample everything. And if you accompany me there, don't be surprised if I scrap off your plate. Love all the food!

Not only is she crushing life (and her fitness game) on a daily basis, she loves the new Katy Perry song. (So do we!)

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
My fiancé and I moved here last July from Brooklyn for his pediatric emergency fellowship. Honestly, I wasn't overjoyed about moving because I knew nothing about Buffalo and being a California native I was terrified of the Game of Thrones style winters. Thankfully, it's been a mild winter but more importantly, I found Rev which made getting through the winter way easier.

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
Challenging, energizing, rewarding.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
Anything by Beyonce, Lady Gaga or Adele.

4. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
I start the day with a giant cup of coffee for obvious reasons, and then always a chocolate protein shake in the evening after a tough Rev class.

5. Favorite workout on the bike - hills, sprints, isolations or tap backs?
Tap back push-up!

6. Buffalo food truck you can't live without?
Lloyd! Who doesn't love tacos?!

7. Favorite Buffalo Spring activity?
Well since we haven't been here in the spring yet I'm not sure, but we love hiking so I'm excited to explore all the great parks around here.
