Happy New Year! We're kickin' off 2017 on a healthy note with this fun and fit power couple. Regulars at the RevExpress location, Rachel and Pete are the perfect example of how working out with a partner is an amazing source of motivation. Read on to learn all about this dynamic duo and grab your hubby, wife, bf, gf, mom, sister, dad, brother, co-worker, friend (whoever gets you jazzed to sweat!) and set some positive intentions for this year.
1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
Rachel: Sales Consultant and Dog Mama. My husband and I are passionate about traveling the world, cooking, and working out together. So happy we found Rev at Jada Blitz- I'm OBSESSED!
Pete: I am a marketing and business development professional who found his way from sports to healthcare. As Rachel said, we are passionate about traveling the world, cooking, and working out together. I also like to golf, ski and play hockey!
2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
R: Heart-pounding intensity.
P: Tough Mudder 2014
3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
R: Andra Day - Rise Up and Lil Wayne - Sucker for Pain
P: Always obsessed with gangster rap.
4. How do you help each other stay motivated to work out?
R: Having a partner to work out with holds you accountable. There are mornings I could talk myself into sleeping in and skipping a workout. But I would never want to let my work out partner (especially my husband) down, so I’m motivated to get up and do it! There has never been a time where I regretted getting up to work out rather that stay in bed.
P: Rachel points to my stomach and gives me a look ...
5. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
R: Drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up; and stretch/foam roll to try to prevent injuries.
P: Drink water when I wake up and before going to bed to stay hydrated.
6. Favorite move on the TRX?
R: Planks all day! (With mountain climbers to raise the game.)
P: Squat jumps - love and hate.
7. Buffalo food truck you can't live without?
R: Lomo Lomo – amazing flavors and food combinations .
8. Favorite holiday or winter tradition?
R: Taking our dog to the tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree (serious arm workout!). We come up with a signature holiday cocktail each year, throw on Christmas music, start stringing the lights and sipping on the holiday goodness.
P: Preparing our house for the holidays with Rachel as we host family and friends on Christmas day.
