1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
I joined Rev starting my second year of medical school at UB. Once my schedule exploded, I knew that I had to make protected time for myself. Exercising, eating healthy and sleeping are my top priorities for maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Although medicine has a demanding workload, making time for these activities helps me focus while studying. I firmly believe that group exercise is more motivating than working out alone, and it has been a pleasure to be a part of the Rev community over the past few months. Empowering people to be the best version of themselves ultimately makes Rev the most appealing place to exercise, as it provides the foundation that I need to workout efficiently in a motivating environment.

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
Breathless. Alive. Teamwork.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
This Is What You Came For - Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna
Work From Home - Fifth Harmony
Nutcracker - Tchaikovsky [I can’t wait to go back home to California for the holidays!]

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
A goal without a plan is just a wish.

5. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
Start the day: Pack tons of healthy snacks/teas. I need major fuel for sitting through at least 4 hours of lecture every morning!
End of the day: Make a list of 5 things that I’m grateful for.

6. Favorite move on the TRX?
Chest press.

7. Favorite Buffalo Food Truck?
Macarollin.

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
I was a runner and lifter for twenty years before I braved a spin class with Colleen at the JCC two years ago. Spinning was so foreign to me at first and I had never taken a group class before, but now I can't get enough! Revolution has re-energized and re-motivated my workout routine. And I have such admiration for Colleen, Amanda, and Rachel; three talented young women who braved the small business world and have become a huge success!

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
College stadium steps.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
"Sinnerman" remix from the Thomas Crown Affair and Colleen's "Celtic jam" :)

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
"Mind over matter." I try to teach mental toughness in athletics to the high school girls that I coach and it's so challenging! Our bodies are more capable than we think they are; we just need to find the mental strength to push ourselves.

5. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
Lots of sleep! I go to bed by 9:30 on weeknights and take naps on the weekends.

6. Favorite move on the TRX?
Hamstring curls.

7. Favorite Buffalo Food Truck?
I stick with Jim's Steak Out.

8. This or that:
Rosé or margaritas? Porters and stouts, please!
Hip hop, Pop, Oldies or EDM for spinning? As much Michael Jackson as possible
Tap backs or isolations? Isolations

Monday Motivator: Meet Samantha

Meet Samantha, this week's bubbly, energetic Monday Motivator. She brings good vibes to share at both RevCity and RevExpress locations weekly. Spinning, TRX-ing and rowing, Samantha always sweats with a smile. We're secretly hoping all those cardio sessions are prepping her for one epic, night-long dance party at this year's The World's Largest Disco - she loves it sooooo much!

Monday Motivator: Meet Alex

Alex is a favorite friendly face at RevExpress. Regardless of how tough things get during class, she always has smile on her face and a "let's go for it" kind of attitude. She focused, she's tough and she's a whole lot of fun to have in class! A teacher who spends her summers in Colombia, you can find her kicking butt on the bikes, rowers and straps at RevExpress several nights a week.

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.
I've been working out at Rev Express since last spring when it opened. Since then, I have seen an improvement in both my mental and physical health. I have never looked forward to working out as much as I have since I started at Rev. I never get bored with the classes and the instructors are awesome. I am a teacher who works long days with little breaks throughout the day so Rev is my time to decompress, destress, and focus only on myself. I am an ESL teacher and I love my job- it is very rewarding but also challenging. In my free time I love to exercise, bake (especially healthy alternatives), travel, read, make products using essential oils (anything from soap to lip balm), and be outdoors as much as possible.

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
Sweaty, outside, stretchy

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
I've been starting my days with some Ani DiFranco Spotify

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
Breathe. So simple yet something I often forget to do in life and while exercising.

5. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
Pumpkin tea with raw honey and diffusing essential oils right before bed. Working out first thing in the morning is my favorite way to start the day but something I rarely get the chance to do.

6. Favorite move on the TRX?
Squats

7. Favorite Buffalo Food Truck?
Amy's

This or that:
Rosé or margaritas?
Both! Depends on my mood

Hip hop, Pop, Oldies or EDM for spinning?
