Monday Motivators: Meet Sara & Tessa

Heeeeeey Monday! This week's dose of Monday goodness is brought to you by not one, but two motivators - Sara and Tessa! These sisters get their fitness on by rowing, spinning and TRXing at our RevExpress location. They're never at a loss for positive energy - if one of 'em isn't feeling up to a workout, the other helps keep them on track. And with the mantra Tessa gave us in the Q&A below ("You better work bitch ..." by Ms. Britney Spears) you know they mean business!

1. Give us a quick background on yourself.

Sara: After gaining over 70 pounds while pregnant with my daughter last year I was determined to loose the weight ASAP. Major lack of sleep and exhaustion left me little motivation to work out. I am thankful for my sister who motivated me to go for a walk or take a class even when I didn't think I could pull myself off the couch! I am happy that she did because I have lost all the weight and can fit back into my old clothes! I am a much happier person and better mother when I work out and make a little time for myself.
Tessa: I am an ICU nurse at ECMC. Working in a hospital full time is enough to motivate me to keep myself as healthy and happy as possible. This past year I got married, built a house with my husband and became an aunt for the first time! I have been working out and active most of my life but didn't start enjoying working out until I started taking workout classes.

2. Describe your best workout ever in just three words.
Sara: Sore for days!
Tessa: Rachel's. Play. List.

3. What song(s) are you obsessed with right now?
Sarah: Chain Smokers - Closer and Brittany Spears - Make Me
Tessa: Kiiara - Gold and Tinie Tempah - Girls Like

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
Sara: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
Tessa: "You better work bitch." - Britney Spears

5. Any healthy habits to start/end your day?
Sara: I usually start my day with a smoothie and daily vitamins.
Tessa: On my days off of work I start my day with a workout. To end my day I take my vitamins and make sure I get enough sleep!

6. Favorite move on the TRX?
Sara: Squats.
Tessa: Pushups.

7. Favorite Buffalo Food Truck?
Sara: Lloyds!
Tessa: I have not tried any food trucks yet. But the grilled cheese one is on my list!

8. How do you help keep each other motivated?
Sara: If I'm feeling lazy or too tired Tessa always motivates me to work out and vise versa. One of us is always up to workout ... even it that means getting up early on a Saturday morning to make it to a class.
Tessa: Reminding each other that Summer and bikinis or Holidays and parties are around the corner! And a little caffeine never hurts.
