Monday Motivators: Meet Kelsey

We couldn't think of a better motivator for our very last feature of the year than Kelsey. A project coordinator at Eric Mower, Kelsey tried her first Rev class the first week we moved into our 1716 Main location and has logged 70 hours worth of class time since then. We loved watching her gain her confidence on the TRX (even though she's a cardio girl at heart)!

1. Tell us a little bit about your fitness journey.
Fitness was never a huge part of my life until Revolution, and I'm so happy that I found you guys. Actually, I give that credit to my good friend, and instructor Kevin Heffernan. He pushed me to give spin a try, and now there's no going back!

2. Describe your BWE (best workout ever) in just three words.
Heavy, slow climbs.

3. What song are you obsessed with right now?
"Wild Heart" by Bleachers

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
Eat, Sleep, Rev, Repeat. Does that count? :)

5. What are two things you just can't start your day without?
1. 10 minutes of just laying in bed, relaxing, even if makes me late for work!
2. A hot shower.

6. What's the oldest thing in your fridge right now?
Hmm... Probably that bottle of French's mustard. I don't even like mustard...

7. What's the healthiest thing in your fridge right now?
Greek yogurt for sure.

8. This or that? Choose one.

Christmas or New Years: Christmas. I happen to be the world's best gift-giver.
Yoga pants or jeans: If it were socially acceptable to wear yoga pants everywhere all of the time, I would.

This classy couple of Sarah & Jack are motivating us to the extreme this week. From the TRX floor to the spin bikes, they hit up every combo of classes with every instructor we've got. Thanks to Rev, we went from not really doing much of anything to having a pretty consistent routine.

Cellphones since they are our only form of alarm & coffee (Jack).

We sign each other up for classes a week in advance. Once it's on the calendar, it's much easier to get there.

Monday Motivators: Meet Beth

Happy Monday, y'all! Kick-starting this week's motivation is Beth. She's been active since she was little, and has managed to maintain a high level of fitness and activity on the indoor bike and over at Barre Centric. Be sure to say hi to her this week and catch some of her awesomely positive vibes.

1. Tell us a little bit about your fitness journey.
I've always been active growing up playing sports since I can remember, and I continued soccer in college. Since then I started running more and taking classes. I used to live in Boston which is an awesome running city. I was also traveling for work constantly so I loved dropping in to spin, barre and yoga classes in all of the different cities I was working in. I moved back home to Buffalo last year, got off 'the road' and was THRILLED that Rev opened. I can't wait to continue my fitness journey right here at home with my Rev workouts!

2. Describe your BWE (best workout ever) in just three words.
Revolution + Barre Centric (my 2 favorite workouts, so excited about this collaboration all month!!)

3. What song are you obsessed with right now?
Rudimental ft. Ed Sheeran - Lay it All On Me

4. Is there a mantra that motivates you?
"You have the same number of hours in your day as Beyonce."

5. What are two things you just can't start your day without?
Howard Stern show and cereal

6. What's the oldest thing in your fridge right now?
Some mystery Genny Lights.

7. What's the healthiest thing in your fridge right now?
Fruit.

Monday Motivator: In Amy Sue's Memory

This week, with love in our hearts and tears in our eyes we pause from our traditional Monday Motivator post to inspire life from a different perspective. Meet Amy.

Last week we lost this beautiful soul. A member of the RevFam since day one (and friend many years before that). Bright. Spirited. Youthful. Daughter. Sister. Leader. Teacher. Warrior. She touched lives, and whether she knew it or not, we consider ourselves better people for having known her.

We all had things in common with Amy, whether it was watching football, enjoying a margarita, traveling or accounting. Our hearts go out to Amy's family, friends and all those she has touched. She is gone way too soon but did not waste a second of her time in the this world.

Through death, we are reminded to live. To live fiercely. To live thoughtfully. To live lovingly. To live graciously. May the light of Amy’s life carry you through the ups and downs of the coming week. Life is too short. Love the one’s you’ve got.
